‘How Great Thou Art’ Creative Sessions
What They’re About:
“How Great Thou Art” sessions are more about taking time to come, to receive, and “to experience time with God” BEFORE creating expressions. In our active, fast-paced world, who do you know that needs to be refreshed, renewed, focused and encouraged? As the person sees, hears, feels and thinks thoughts from above, then creative expressions can flow out in honor to the Creator and to others. Learning to be aware and understanding proper worship to God through a paintbrush, a pen, a song and other tools of expression, can bring out the BEST from God’s point of view. Ultimately like doing exercise, these experiences can benefit us, which make ourselves and the world a better place to dwell. The blank canvas of ideas is waiting for an expression to be created!!! And when it is finished, it can be shared with someone else in a positive way. Only God knows the impact and the results of who, when, where, how and what these expressions will have.

A Poem:
Expressions being created with God’s Spirit in each personal heart.
In the beginning, all Creation came from God in Time and Space,
The Father’s heart through Jesus, and the Spirit, each take their place.
Still others ask, “Is it any different than a regular Art class, just how?”
Read Exodus 35 as Bezalel and others are filled with the Spirit! Wow!
Who Do you say that I AM? Who is this King of Glory, His Son?
Ask how He creates Life in something when actually there was none?
Live, move and breathe in our inner most being in Art and prayer,
Together in worship we’re given Light and Spirit as gifts flow there.
New sights and sounds of the Spirit, like clapping, who can measure?
Speaking, singing, and turning hearts back to the Master Treasure.
May atmospheres be created to love, encourage and build up others,
Quickly forgive, reconcile, and nurture like children and mothers.
Mankind is granted Life on Earth for a certain number of days,
Variety inspired with words, colors and beauty in everlasting ways.
Thank you Lord for this precious way to come together tonight,
It doesn’t matter if Art is dancing, painting, music or words to write.
My prayer is that your ears will truly listen to the sounds crying out,
Receive these hearts and feel the breath of God, as you go about.
The invisible works inside and brings out the visible from the heart,
Thus creation expresses back to the Creator, “How Great Thou Art.”
