As I was coming out of a depression period of my life, I began to paint a butterfly series. Of course a butterfly represents new life and shedding the old. As I was growing in the Lord, I realized a new freedom I truly could receive from Him. My style reflected a softness and gentleness of the quiet beauty butterflies offer. I wanted to reflect my hunger for the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit by hiding three butterflies amongst the different flowers. The lilies represent the purity of Christ and the blood HE shed on the Cross for us.
