About:
I had gone to Israel from March 1 -11, 2008 hosted by “The Obed Project” from North Carolina. Three dance groups had joined together to travel and experience walking streets that Jesus Christ Himself walked. We got water baptized in the River Jordan, went onto the Sea of Galilee and experienced many sights, sounds, smells, foods to taste and touch. It was truly a unique, beautiful, amazing and challenging yet peaceful place to be.
When I was sitting in the bus, many of the dancers went out to a plush, green meadow. I decided to stay in to use my pastels and capture their celebration! As I had fun expressing the scene, I saw in the Spirit what looked like Crystal Blocks of Color forming an Arched Gateway above where they were dancing. I noticed a couple of trees on either side of the meadow. I believe, they were called the Tamerisk. When the dance leader came back inside the bus, she told me the trees had shed over the years, numerous layers and layers of thorns underneath the meadow. I began to ponder the Crown of Thorns and actually used colored pencils to get a finer line. I didn’t know the Hebrew for “I AM” so instead I used English. I could see an earthquake of new Life breaking forth with stones or grapes. I kept thinking how many people believe the grass is greener on the other side, but what is amazing is no one knows the thorns people go through in Life when the plush, green meadow is seen.
