This piece was inspired as I was praying for my daughter, Theresa, with Frontline Ministries in Massillon, Ohio. I felt impressed to pray to God for her one evening and ask Him for a Word for her life. Song of Solomon 2:14 states: “I have hidden you in the cleft of the Rock.” So in August 2007, I was studying under Leslie Young Marks in Social Circle, Georgia. It was absolutely wonderful to paint and to pray in the Spirit of the Lord eight to nine hours a day for a week in her gallery with seven other artists! So the Lord gave this Word to me. I brought a photo with me I had taken of her previously.

As I began this painting, I could see Holy Spirit hovering above the Rock and as it unfolded, I began to transpose a Lion and a Lamb within this Rock formation. Underneath as she rests and hides in the cleft, her future of preaching the gospel around the world is reflected. Here is an example again of the Heavenly realm, Earthly realm, and Future Realm of her life connecting with the Lord’s plans. I know my daughter continues her journey “in obedience to the Lord” and receives every blessing poured out upon her for generations to come.

It is my hope that any followers of Christ would be encouraged to BELIEVE the Lord, to AGREE to choose Life, and KNOW His thoughts and plans of Hope for a future not to be cut off. It is also my hope those who are hidden will be brought forth Rightly and Divinely in a proper way to take their position in the Body of Christ.
