About:
In 1995, this National Day of Prayer banner took my friend, Janis Hoye, and I nine months to complete. It has Isaiah 62:6-7 permanently ironed on the back side and stands about 9′ wide and 12′ high. I took the whole county and outlined it using the red cranberry color fabric to denote His precious Blood covering His people. Then I divided it in half, one side for day and the other for night. The stars in both represent the promise given to Abraham which he could not count them all. There are areas which look like waves fading into the background but they actually represent the lives of people, who lived here previously and prayed for Hancock County. I believe their prayers are still being answered today. The figures placed in the middle are ones presently alive, still praying and believing for God to continue establishing His Righteousness, like a blazing torch. The open window with the Cross above, is representing the future of the Church with children holding hands. They are living, breathing, moving vessels of His Endless Love proceeding forward in Spirit and in Truth! Also, the Lord wanted to add two long, thin banners to proclaim He is the “Lord of ALL Generations” the past, the present and the future!
